Vyshen and Lada welcomed the birth of their third son with joy. At dawn, Vyshen turned to his grandfather, the Sun-Yarilo, to ask him to bestow upon their son a power that would form and preserve the Earthly Firmament. The grandfather gave his great-grandson the power to govern the bond between heaven and earth, between Prav and Yav, with thunder and lightning. He presented his great-grandson with an anvil and hammer endowed with extraordinary power. He was intractable, with a tempestuous nature, yet responsive: he hurled thunder and lightning with fervour, but, once calmed, skilfully set the rainbow in the Sky.

The time came to find their son a wife. Vyshen and Lada thought and pondered; in the end, they had to find him a maiden who suited him. They turned once more to Lada, and from the sacred waters she gave birth to Perunitsa, equal in power to Perun. Thus the lineage of Perun the Thunderer and Perunitsa began. Endowed with the power of light, their children inherited the third blood group. They acquired robust strength and resilience.
